Samsung Smart TVs generally use the Tizen television operating system. Tizen applications must come from the Samsung TV app store and are not normal Android APK applications.

4. Confirm the app and developer.
5. Select Install.

LG Smart TVs generally use webOS. Compatible applications must be installed through the LG television Apps area or LG Content Store for the selected region and model.

1. Press Home on the LG remote.
2. Open Apps or LG Content Store.
3. Select Search.
4. Enter the exact player name.
5. Select the app and choose Install.

Android TV and Google TV televisions use applications developed for the Android television platform. Compatible players can be installed through Google Play.

1. Open Apps or Search from the television home screen.
2. Search for XCIPTV or another compatible player.
3. Confirm that the app is designed for television use.
4. Select Install.
5. Open the app and choose the supplied login method.

Roku TVs use Roku OS. Only applications offered through Roku’s Streaming Store can be installed through the normal customer interface.

1. Press Home on the Roku remote.
2. Open Streaming Store or Store.
3. Select Apps or Search.
4. Search for the player name.
5. Select Add App when an official compatible listing appears.

A television with Fire TV built in uses Amazon’s television environment. Begin with the Amazon Appstore and verify whether the model uses Fire OS or Vega OS.

Some television platforms provide a limited set of approved applications and do not support installing Android television apps.

When no suitable player appears in the built-in television store, connect a compatible Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV device through HDMI rather than downloading an unsupported file.

1. Open the television Settings menu.
2. Select Support, System, About or Device Information.
3. Record the television brand and model number.
4. Look for Tizen, webOS, Android TV, Google TV, Roku or Fire TV.
5. Check for an available television software update.

1. Open Network or Connection settings.
2. Select the household Wi-Fi network or Ethernet connection.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi password when required.
4. Open another internet application to test connectivity.
5. Confirm that the television date and time are correct.

• Samsung: press Home and open Apps or Search.
• LG: press Home and open Apps or LG Content Store.
• Google TV: open Apps or Search from the home screen.
• Roku TV: open Streaming Store and select Apps.
• Fire TV: open Find or Search and use the Amazon Appstore.

1. Search for HotPlayer on supported Samsung, LG or Roku TVs.
2. Search for XCIPTV on supported Android TV or Google TV models.
3. Review the application name, developer and compatibility.
4. Select Install, Add App, Get or Download.
5. Open the player when installation finishes.

Use the login method that matches the account information:

• Select Xtream Codes when you received a server address, username and password.
• Select M3U only when you received a complete M3U playlist URL.
• Follow the player’s official device activation process when it displays a device ID or MAC address.

1. Enter IPTVV as the account or playlist name.
2. Enter the username exactly as supplied.
3. Enter the password exactly as supplied.
4. Enter the complete server or portal address.
5. Keep the http:// or https:// portion when supplied.
6. Remove accidental spaces before or after every field.
7. Select Add User, Login, Save or Submit.

The first login can take longer while the player retrieves account categories and programme information.

• Live TV contains available television categories.
• VOD or Movies contains available on-demand categories.
• Series contains episodic categories where available.
• EPG or TV Guide displays programme data where supplied.

1. Open one available category.
2. Select an item and allow it to load.
3. Check the picture and audio.
4. Test directional, Back and OK buttons on the remote.
5. Test another category.
6. Configure additional devices only after the first screen works.

• Confirm the television operating system.
• Check for television software updates.
• Search the exact app name.
• Confirm the television store country or region.
• Try another compatible player.
• Use a supported HDMI streaming device when necessary.

Standard Android APK files are not normal Samsung Tizen or LG webOS applications. Use the television’s official app store or connect a compatible external Android TV or Fire TV device.

• Re-enter the username exactly as supplied.
• Check uppercase and lowercase characters.
• Remove accidental spaces from each field.
• Enter the complete server address.
• Keep http:// or https:// when supplied.
• Do not publish the credentials.

• Close and reopen the player.
• Turn the television off and disconnect power briefly.
• Restart the modem and router.
• Test another internet application.
• Update or reinstall the player.
• Try another compatible application.

• Test Wi-Fi where the television is installed.
• Use Ethernet when the television supports it.
• Move the router or add a mesh access point.
• Pause large downloads on other devices.
• Restart the television, modem and router.
• Test at another time to identify local congestion.

• Close and reopen the selected item.
• Restart the player.
• Check for player and television updates.
• Change the player engine when that option is available.
• Test the account on another supported device.
• Try a different compatible player.

• Confirm that the television is not muted.
• Test another television application.
• Check soundbar or receiver input settings.
• Review television audio-output settings.
• Restart the television and player.
• Test another compatible player.

• Open the television Apps or Storage settings.
• Remove applications that are no longer used.
• Restart the television.
• Reinstall the player from the official store.
• Consider an external streaming device with more storage.

• Confirm the television date and time zone.
• Open the player settings.
• Select Refresh EPG or Update TV Guide when available.
• Close and reopen the player.
• Allow the guide additional time to load.
